My financial retirement goal
I used the Get Smarter About Money website to create these projections below. I started with $40K, since that’s close to what I’ll have invested at the end of the year, and used a ballpark of $1,400 per month contribution at an estimated 6% average interest rate. I want to get to $1.4 million (or higher) by the time I retire. I’m estimating that I’m retiring at 67 in the projection below, which will give me a few more years to save than the standard retirement age of 65.
